Messes remind me of laughter, of having a purpose and of unburdened, joyful pleasure.
This photo (left) is not so much a mess unless you are an exasperated mom seeking order. I love this example of mess because in one image it illustrates how having my entire living room transformed into a hap-hazzard children’s fort may feel “messy” but is actually living proof that creativity and vitality live in this home.
If you have a reason to keep living, whether it be big or small, simple or complex, send it with a photo and a brief explanation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your photo and writing will be featured on the Amber Typewriter in weeks to come!
